Important FAQS

Delivery and set up are included in wedding cake orders of $200 or more up to 15 miles of Alma, NE.  Other areas, the first 15 miles are included, $1.00 per mile one way for additional miles. For orders of $500 or more, reduced delivery charges available. Delivery to Kearney is $35.00

We do offer mini wedding cakes & sheet cakes for smaller budgets.

A downpayment of 50% is required at time of order to reserve your wedding date with the remaining 50% due three weeks before your wedding date. A $100.00 deposit is included in this amount and is non-refundable.

Dragonfly Desserts reserves only a minimum amount of wedding cake orders each week. Book your date as soon as possible as dates fill quickly! There are still more dates availabe for 2010!

Dragonfly Desserts is to be the sole provider of cake at your wedding. This protects our reputation and liability. This does not apply to cheesecakes, pies, candy or bars ... just cake.

Pricing for wedding cakes is based on a 1x2x4 inch slice, and for our White Almond Sour Cream, Chocolate, or Tuxedo cakes with our house buttercream.

Buttercream is a soft, smooth and creamy icing, and the one you probably know best. Everyone likes buttercream! It can be piped into almost endless designs and flowers. It can be tinted to almost any color to match your color scheme.

Buttercream Cakes start at $2.25 per slice

Rolled Fondant

Fondant gives cakes a smooth, flawless matte finish, making it a great base for further decorations - silk ribbons, beading and intricate piping designs. It can be folded, pleated or draped, and used for ribbons, flowers and other decoration. Fondant is like sugar play dough, it is rolled out in sheets and applied to a cake that has been coated in buttercream. Fondant is for the bride that wants that extra special cake!

Groom's Cakes

Looking for that special cake for the man in your life? We can make his career or hobby into a groom's cake he will never forget! The groom's cake is really a very old wedding tradition, somehow lost and now rediscovered for the most elegant wedding receptions. The more traditional groom's cake is a rich chocolate cake with dipped strawberries adorning the cake. In recent years it has been a chance to showcase the groom's antique car or cowboy boots, while others in traditional cake shapes have sported hunting scenes or his favorite hole on the golf course.

Grooms cakes are included in the total servings needed at your reception and are priced per slice as the traditional wedding cake.

Sculpted Cakes start at $4.00 per slice with a $75.00 minimum. Each cake is individually priced based on difficulty
